Chief Instructor: Oscar Avellaneda Sensei (GODAN, 5th Degree Black Belt)
OSKD’s founder and chief instructor, Oscar Avellaneda Sensei, holds GODAN (5th degree black belt) from JKA. He has been a practitioner of JKA Shōtōkan Karate-Dō for most of his lifetime, represented at numerous national and international events. Oscar Sensei holds an official JKA qualification for instructor, judge, and examiner.
His logical and philosophical approach to the practice of JKA Shōtōkan Karate-Dō has been influential to many lives and continues to impact those who wish to further themselves in life.
Instructor: Bio Aikawa Sensei
Bio Sensei was born in Japan and started Karate in 1998 in Canada. She currently holds JKA GODAN (5th degree black belt) as well as official instructor, judge, and examiner qualifications certified by JKA. She also spent 10 years as an active member of the JKA-SKD Canada Board of Directors, half of which as the Secretary of the association.
She is the founder and Chief Instructor of JKA Migenkan where she devotes herself to instilling discipline, courage, and determination to youth and children through the practice of JKA Shōtōkan Karate-Dō.
